My shop in Saint John, the “Water Yeti Co-Op” open’s tomorrow at the Area 506 Container village.

This year I made something specifically for the container shop. I wanted to make something fun, that referenced Saint John’s historic roots. My starting inspiration for this illustration was the iconic “ Loyalist Man” from Reversing falls.

I had a lot of fun drawing the Loyalist costume and made a lot of sketches and developed a bunch of characters I call the “Lil’ Loyalists”.

Fun fact, while looking for reference images to try and properly draw the Loyalist's hat I randomly came across a picture of my DAD! Who is retired, but spends his summers as a tour guide in the City, he likes to dress the part (I think he looks great!).

 I really enjoyed making the final image, competely hand drawn with pen on regular ole paper. Available as a hand printed art print or t-shirt. Made in Canada and printed by me! I hope you like it! And don’t forget! The Water Yeti Co-Op opens tomorrow for the season. Hope to see you there!
